5 Stars LOVE
I have always had the issue of oily and dry skin and when ever I would put my makeup on I would be oily within the next hour. The matte foundation keeps my skin looking really smooth and natural and keeps me oil free all day. I wore this stuff at a theme park all day and in the afternoon it started to rain, when I got home the coverage was still amazing and looked like it did when I put it on.

3 Stars Nice improvement, but..
I have used BE for years, and really like it, except it accentuates my pores (I hate that!!) and when I sweat, it makes my skin itch. The matte is a huge improvement for us oily girls because the non-matte BE has the mica in it which looks shiny, and I certainly don’t need any help in that department. I just wish this didn’t accentuate pores though.. they look about 4 times bigger than they do with no make up or with liquid or cream make ups. I guess that’s because it doesn’t “sink” into the skin, but rather, sits on top.

I also notice that the BE seems to migrate throughout the day to my oily parts and wiping off of the drier parts, making my skin look really patchy with make up.. so touch ups are definitely required throughout the day.

1 Star Not satisfied-switching back to old formula
I’ve been using the original bareMinerals for 5 years and really love it. I decided to try out the new matte formula because I thought it would be better for my oily skin. I am really dissatisfied with the new formula. First, it is very difficult to apply and does not blend well. It takes twice as much time to apply as the original formula. Once applied it feels very chalky and sits like a heavy mask on your face. Plus the coverage is not good. Like the other reviewer said, it also makes your pores appear much larger, especially on your nose. I even tried using the Prime Time foundation primer with it but it does not help the foundation to go on any smoother. I’m definitely chucking this junk and switching back to the old formula.

I have used Bare Minerals Foundation and found it causes me to have breakouts. I tried the matte foundation and I really can’t tell any difference.

2 Stars I wasn’t impressed by this product.
In a nutshell, Bare Minerals did indeed provide good coverage, but the color of the foundation (fair) was very flat on my skin. It didn’t provide that glow that I had expected, but instead a dull, flat color. The bronzer only made my skin look unnatural with my fair complexion. I have combination skin, and I also found that even after a couple hours of wearing Bare Minerals, it became cakey in my most oily spots, and built up in the creases of my nose. The makers of Bare Minerals say “It’s so light you can sleep in it.” Well I wouldn’t recommend sleeping with this product on your face. YOU WILL BREAK OUT. Overall.. I wouldn’t recommend paying $25+ for this product.

2 Stars Oily & Cakey
At first I loved bareminerals and pur minerals. But after only a few hours My face feels so gross and oily. It feels very heavy on my skin. I can’t wait to get home and take it off everyday. That is not how you should feel about your makeup. I switched to Neutrogena’s mineral makeup and so far love it. It is missing 2 ingredients that the other mineral makeups have and I think that is what makes the difference. It’s light and covers well. The only thing is the lady at Ulta told me to get a light concealer then the foundation, well that was wrong, I looked like a ghost. I am getting the same color today.

Upon first buying this product- a hefty $60 plus tax- I was very excited to use it! I wore it for a while, and got numerous compliments on how healthy my skin is looking. However, a few weeks later I started to notice that I was breaking out everywhere! I have good skin and have never had a breakout as bad as this. I have little clumps of whiteheads together on my cheeks, zits on my chin, forhead, and hairline! It is absolutely disgusting, it won’t go away even though i discontinued using this product around 3 weeks ago. Now I have to go to the dermatologist so I can be prescribed retinol for my acne. I definitely do not recommend this AT ALL.

5 Stars this is the best make-up ever!!!
I have beeb using Bare Escentual make-up for many years and I will never use any other brand!!!I do not like to look “made-up”and I love how natural the results are plus the ease of operation. I want to try the new brush with the foundation included in it..I love these products and I have convinced many menbers of my family to use them too..

5 Stars Skeptical but Proven Wrong!!
I ordered this product and I’m not going to lie… I was pretty skeptical. I have dry, sensitive skin with some discoloration from old acne scars and have used the same foundation for 10 years now. I felt like I needed a change as the foundation I was using just wasn’t doing it anymore. However, my skin breaks out with pretty much anything but I thought I’d still give it a shot. I wasn’t sure what shade I would be so I went into a local store that sells it and tried on certain shades. Once I found my shade I ordered it online since you get a little more bang for your buck.

Once I received it I watched the video. Seemed simple enough. I tried it on my own and at first I couldn’t really tell a difference until my boyfriend came home and asked what I had done differently. He said my face looked beautiful. Hmmm… Maybe it works after all I thought. So I wore it to work the next day and got so many compliments on my skin. Many people stated that I had a certain new healthy glow to me. Fantastic!!

I’ve been using it for a couple weeks now and can honestly say I will never go back to any other foundation. No breakouts or rashes for me!

The trick is to make sure to moisturize your face beforehand so the minerals have something to cling to (just be sure your moisturizer is fully absorbed before you apply BM-like 5 minutes.) As for people saying it’s too messy I think they are using far too much to start with, but just in case you are a messy person (which I thought I may be)just put the makeup on over the box they ship the product in. It will keep your counters clean anyway. Like I said though, I have had little to no mess with it.

Overall, I was very impressed and very happy with this product. They got a user for life out of me!!

Loved paying the lower price for my favorite fragrance. It does say sample on the bottle … that’s OK … and it comes without the top … but guess what? I saved the top from my full price Dept. store purchase, turned the bottle around and it’s beautiful sitting on my dressing table. I feel pretty smart saving this way … BTW, love this beautiful fragrance. Goodbye retail prices … helloooo Amazon.com!

2 Stars Packaging is NOT as advertised
This was purchased as a gift to me. I’m a visual person so, I like packaging. A TESTER bottle was sent in a brown box. No fancy top to the bottle or pink box as shown in the picture. Just the bottle with the writing “tester” on it. I’m sure my friend would NOT have picked to send me this as a gift. Presentation was not as advertised.

I like it when after a day or so on my clothes, but right after spraying – maybe good for a bar and smoking restaurant (must be my body chemistry ). It changes a lot during just few hours and unpredictable in that sense.

1 Star it has no smell at all.
I’ve used two bottles before and they were so good, this one has no smell, and no body could tell that i’m wearing the perfurm!
