Jessica Biel's romantic pink lipstick is perfect for Valentine's Day

Valentine’s Day is here, so we thought we ‘d give you some proper primping tips to guarantee you’re looking lovely on your big night.

Right now, we’re absolutely loving pink lipstick paired with minimal face and eye makeup. The look is less expected than the classic red lip, but packs a striking punch. It’s flattering on most every complexion. The best part? It’s easy to pull off and perfect for Valentine’s day!

The key to pull off this fabulous look is to keep everything besides the lip simple. This means no dramatic eye makeup and definitely go light on the blush! Line your lips with a neutral liner and fill in with your choice of lipstick. Blot with a tissue and reapply. For added drama, apply a tiny bit of highlighter in the center of your lower lip. To get the look, first prep the skin with Skindinavia. Then apply a damp sponge for a sheer, invisible application. Try using MakeUp Forever’s HD Invisible Cover Foundation. To get her glowy cheeks, apply the tiniest amount of creamy cheek color like Revlon’s Cream Blush in Rosy Glow applied to just the apples. For the eyes, create a strong brow with pencil and set with mascara. On lips, apply a matte brick red lip color to create a dramatic stain.

Before you start, make sure your lips are well hydrated and dab off any excess lip balm or ChapStick you may have used. Begin by lining your lips with a color that is near-identical to the fuchsia of your choice.

When you’ve colored in your whole lip, apply your lipstick with a lip brush, controlling where the color goes. Avoid smudging in the wrong places. A couple of gorgeous fuchsia colors to try are: Mac Lustering lipstick, MAC Girl About Town Lipstick and Speak About Town Lipstick.

4. Line your lips with a cherry red lip pencil like MAC Lip Pencil in Redd then fill them in to help the color stay. Follow up with a matching lipstick that has a slight sheen to it like MAC Lustre Lipstick in Cockney.
